What a lovely little village. Our guide, Toas was wonderful and witty, too. Great history. It was fun watching the clog making demonstration, going inside a working windmill and sampling some yummy cheese.

We had a lovely morning touring Zaanse Schans. Our children loved the wooden shoe making demo, plus tasting delicious cheese, and sipping a cold chocolate drink. It was a nice half day out of the city while exploring all of which the Amsterdam area has to offer.
