Bianca was the most fabulous tour guide. She went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. I would do this tour all over again!
Our tour began early as we made our way to Zaane Schans a beautiful town outside of Amsterdam. To our surprise our tour guide was the Mayor of the town. He brought to life the 1650s and forward as we visited this beautiful area, experiencing how cheese is made, the continuous active windmills and the making of wooden shoes and their use. Next we headed to Keukenhof Gardens a most beautiful and peacefully place. In between we stopped for a lovely lunch. This tour was exceptional.
The guide, David, did a fantastic job! The entire group thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
In Amsterdam, nothing wrong with the tour guide but overall the tour sucked and for the price I would say it was over the top disappointing. The tour guide was nice but his tour company had a problem with vehicles (kept trying to call his boss a few times but he didn't answer) for the day so we had to schlep all of our stuff around not able to leave it in the cars, had to walk 10 minutes why it was starting to drizzle and wait for a pick up in a parking lot for about 30 minutes while we were all starved. Then he were basically held hostage at the tulip gardens for 2 hours (with all of our bags) because he had to leave and pick up another party to bring back to Amsterdam. I told him we only wanted 1 hour in there and he told me he wouldn't be back for at least 1.5 hours if not closer to 2 hours. I thought we were going to the tulip fields not a commercial garden. Also, the lunch included in the price consisted of 1 pancake a drink of you could get a combo but if you wanted the pancake it was literally 1 pancake. I absolutely would never recommend them and i would say it was the worst tour I have ever done and for the price it was robbery.
