What your day looks like
See the best Holland has to offer in a 7-hour tour which covers the world-famous Zaanse Schans with its windmills. You will also drive through the countryside to the farmer's town of Katwoude to visit a cheese farm, the fisherman town of Volendam and visit the former Island of Marken.. Your personal private guide and driver will tell you everything about these places and their history. At Volendam, a stop is scheduled for a typical Dutch lunch (included). At Zaanse Schans, you will visit a wooden shoe workshop for a demonstration of clog making and a working Industrial windmill (entrance fee included). As this is a private tour, you will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel in Amsterdam or any other for your convenient place in or near Amsterdam.

The countryside tour was terrific. Maike, the tour guide provided a lot of information about the area as she lives there. Wearing her clogs, she took us around the windmills, clog factory and cheese farm. Had a great lunch at Volenham. I highly recommend the tour. Maike, knowing the flow of tourists ensured we missed the crowded periods which provided us a lot of "private" time to take in the sights and sounds.

Highly reccomend this full day tour - we were worried it would be too long of a day, but it was absolutely the best decision we could have made. The private tour was just what we needed - our guide was waiting for us at our hotel and then we proceeded to our first stop - being that it was just us, we loved being able to choose to stay a little longer somewhere if we needed to. We loved the journey out to the countryside, and every stop was perfectly planned out. Thank you thank you thank you! We loved it!

One of the best things we did on our trip. Our guide, having grown up in a windmill, had a unique and informed perspective. She provided a distinct viewpoint based on experience and related details others could not have provided.
