The Experience

What your day looks like

Start your morning like a true Amsterdammer on this private breakfast tour through the Albert Cuyp Market, the beating heart of De Pijp for over 120 years. With your own dedicated guide leading the way, you'll experience one of Amsterdam's most colorful neighborhoods, just your group and the city. Your tour begins at a historic family bakery that holds a Royal Warrant, where you'll sit down with a fresh coffee and a classic Dutch saucijzenbroodje. From there, you'll head into the lively market with, meeting trusted vendors and hand-picking fresh Dutch Gouda cheese and traditional ham from their stalls. With your ingredients gathered, you'll continue to a cozy neighborhood lunchroom where your savory Dutch pancake will be freshly prepared using the products you selected yourself — a simple but truly personal experience. Between stops, your guide will share stories about the market's fascinating history, the Amsterdam School architecture surrounding you, and the artists who gave De Pijp its famous street names. The tour wraps up with a fun, hands-on stroopwafel workshop, where you'll make your very own from scratch. And of course, enjoying it warm right off the iron. With a private guide dedicated entirely to your group, this tour offers the flexibility to ask questions, linger at your favorite stalls, and truly connect with the neighborhood and its people.
