This 7-day and 6-night accommodated safari offers a tailor-made opportunity to visit the best of Namibia. Experience a moving insight into wildlife conservation and rehabilitation at the N/a'an ku se Wildlife Sanctuary before seeking spectacular wildlife encounters in Etosha National Park. Explore the breathtaking Damaraland landscapes, meet local tribes, and discover the wild Skeleton Coast and the quirky town of Swakopmund. The adventure culminates with a magical trip across the Tropic of Capricorn to the ancient Namib Desert, including Dead Vlei and Sossusvlei, before returning to Windhoek. Departures are weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Your day, step by step

You are collected from the airport on arrival and transferred to Hilton Hotel.

Sightseeing. This afternoon you will have the opportunity to join the afternoon feeding tour of the large predators that are unable to be re-located back into the wild, learn more about these fascinating animals and photographic opportunities are excellent. Get up close and personal with the resident cheetah, lion, leopard, wild dog & caracal! Funds from this activity go directly into the carnivore conservation effort to help limit the human & wildlife conflicts.

You will be collected from Hilton Hotel at 06:30 and transferred to Chameleon Backpackers Lodge for the pre-departure talk and to meet the rest of the group. Heading north to Etosha in a custom built overland truck with pop up roof & natural Air-con (ventilation windows).

Wildlife Safari. We enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park visiting waterholes looking for predators as well as zebra, giraffe, elephant, rhino and many different species of antelope. Game viewing doesn't stop when you get off the vehicle, instead head to the floodlit waterhole at Halali to continue searching for animals well into the night.

Breakfast is normally provided from N/a'ankuse as a breakfast pack and you can grab a coffee on arrival at Chameleon. A lunch pack is provided so you can eat “on the move” before entering Etosha National Park through the Anderson Gate. Dinner is prepared by the guide over an open fire.

Wildlife Safari. A full day game driving today. At sunrise head out into the park searching for predators. After breakfast head northwest to the mighty Etosha Pan before returning to camp for lunch. After lunch head west, visiting waterholes before stopping at Okaukuejo, grabbing a sundowner drink and enjoying 1 last Etosha sunset before exiting the park.

Breakfast is taken in the restaurant on return from your early morning game drive. Lunch is prepared by your guide after your second game drive at Halali. Dinner is prepared by your guide over an open fire at Taleni Etosha Village.

Accommodation tonight is just outside the park in twin share permanent tents with en-suite bathroom facilities at Taleni Etosha Village.

Local Flavor. Your route today takes you into the dramatic and beautiful scenery of Damaraland. You have the chance to meet the wonderful Herero ladies who sell their handmade arts and crafts to support their rural families. On the drive down the Skeleton Coast we explore the remains of a small shipwreck. Arrive in Swakopmund early afternoon where you will have the chance to explore this quaint seaside town on foot and enjoy a coffee and cake in one of the many cafes.

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and departure from your lodge is at 07:30. Lunch is prepared by your guide under the shade of tree in the stunningly beautiful Damaraland. Dinner is an optional group meal at one of the many restaurants at own expense.

Adventures & Thrills. This morning after breakfast we highly recommend a visit to the Swakopmund Museum or the Aquarium (optional and unguided), adrenaline junkies should join the 2 hour sand boarding excursion into the sand dune belt which will get your blood pumping!
