Whether you opt for a traditional scrub down or luxury spa treatment in a five-star resort, no trip to Morocco is complete without experiencing the rituals of the hammam, or Turkish-style steam bath. If you go for a traditional hammam experience, get ready to be washed, scrubbed, rubbed down, splashed and massaged, then soothed in a rose-scented milk bath floating with rose petals and oils while you sip mint tea. Luxury hammams are exotic and relaxing, with a sauna and twinkling tea lights to soothe the senses. Marble baths and red ochre walls are decorated with blue and gilt tiles, surrounded by Arabic arches and pillars.
