The Experience

What your day looks like

As evening falls, guests are guided beyond the main square into the hidden streets and back alleys of the medina, where Marrakech’s true food culture comes to life. Led by a licensed local guide, the experience moves away from the obvious and into carefully selected spots known for their authenticity and local following. Along the way, guests discover flavours and dishes that are often missed by independent travellers — from small, family-run eateries to tucked-away street stalls serving recipes rooted in tradition. This is a full culinary experience rather than a tasting, with multiple stops that together form a complete and satisfying meal. Throughout the tour, the guide shares insight into Moroccan food culture, ingredients, and daily life, adding context to each dish and location. The result is an immersive evening that combines exploration, storytelling, and cuisine — offering a deeper, more authentic understanding of Marrakech after dark.

Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Guests meet their licensed local guide in the early evening before setting off into the medina as it begins to come alive with the sounds, aromas, and energy of night-time Marrakech. Moving through bustling squares, narrow alleyways, and hidden corners, the experience focuses on places where locals eat — far beyond the typical tourist routes. The route is intentionally flexible, allowing the tour to adapt to the season and the freshest ingredients available, as well as individual dietary preferences. Along the way, guests stop at a variety of carefully selected street stalls and small eateries, building a full and satisfying meal through multiple authentic dishes rather than simple tastings. Throughout the evening, the guide shares stories, cultural context, and insights into Moroccan food traditions, offering a deeper understanding of the medina’s culinary landscape. By the end of the experience, guests not only leave well-fed, but with a richer connection to Marrakech’s food culture and a sense of discovery that would be difficult to achieve independently.

The good tour was great but our guide not so much. It was our third day through the Medina so we weren’t unfamiliar but had we been we would have gotten lost. He would take off from each stop and not look back. Luckily we all looked out for each other and had one husband keep his fast pace. He could ba w used that time to interact with us but between his misogynistic jokes naybe we were lucky he didn’t. We had four guides over 11 days and never encountered this. It’s a shame tho because the tour itself was awesome
