The Experience

What your day looks like

Explore the jungle beauty of Cozumel in a jeep. Visit an awesome tequila distillery where you can find out about the distillation process and experience its different flavors, smells, and colors. Travel to the east side of the island to admire the beautiful San Martin and El Mirador virgin beaches. Here you can take some breathtaking photographs. Then drive through winding roads, dense forests, and lush vegetation deep in the legendary town of El Cedral, where the island’s rich history comes alive. Here is where our off-road adventure begins. Once we reach the Jade Caverns & Cenote, take a dip in the Cenote Jade as well as experience the Caves, learning some of its history along the way. After this awesome off-road adventure, it is time for the last stop, a beach break at a beach club. Here you will experience an authentic Mexican lunch and have the chance to do some snorkeling. Follow into the water for a guided snorkel excursion. You’ll be amazed at the tropical beauty of the coral reef system.

This tour was AWESOME. Out guide, Ricardo was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and very passionate himself about Cozumel wildlife and nature. He showed us many of the beautiful spots mentioned in the tour description, but added so much more to it with his personal experiences. The beach club at the end was fun - great food and a great spot to enjoy some beach time.

The communication with the tour operator was great and instructions were very clear. They even accommodated tour time to the time we requested. Our Guide Fernando deserves a 5 start he was wonderful, very pleasant and knowledgeable. The tour was good, but I would suggest eliminating the cenote. With all respect, the cenote is not what I expected having visited many cenotes in Mexico before. The water looks like is not circulating - even though our guide said it is- it just did not look ok to swim, again just my personal opinion. Other than that we had a good time.

We loved the tour of the island, and the opportunity to see so much of Cozumel. The people were kind and friendly that we encountered along our tour. However, we felt a bit coerced to shop in tour guide selected locations without having the chance to explore other options or locations. We were not able to purchase items that are our typical family choices for souvenirs. We also felt awkward NOT spending money with these vendors. We would have enjoyed having a place where there were multiple vendors to shop with and a larger variety of wares to choose from. It would also have been helpful to know we needed to do the driving.
