What your day looks like

Las Caletas was once the private home of film director John Huston who considered it one of the most beautiful places in the world. Nestled in a secluded nature preserve on the southern shores of Banderas Bay, Las Caletas is now our own exclusive tropical beach hideaway. Las Caletas is so isolated and unspoiled, it's only accessible by sea, so climb aboard our first-class catamaran and sit back and marvel at the most fantastic scenery the Mexican Pacific has to offer. Once Las Caletas comes into view, its natural beauty will strike you as it jumps out at you against a steep and lush mountain backdrop. Once settled on shore, you can either relax or really really relax. Whether you want to bask in the tropical sunshine on the beach, climb into a hammock and chill out in the shade, or indulge in a therapeutic massage or facial at our hilltop Spa Center - it's all about taking it easy to reinvigorate your mind, body and soul in one of the most beautiful settings on earth. Or get active and wet exploring the stunning cove of Las Caletas. Take a guided snorkel tour or pick up some equipment and head off on your own. Grab a stand-up paddleboard or a kayak and explore the waters of the cove. Swim out to the offshore platforms to chill out in the sun or practice your dives. Las Caletas is purely and simply Mexico's Garden of Eden - a wonderful and enchanting tropical beach haven where you can kick back, relax and let all the stress slip away.

First off, this beach hideaway is absolutely stunning! It's lush, green & beautiful! We happened to be there two days before a hurricane was set to come in, so the evenings before had brought in a lot of rain, therefore, there was a lot of debris in the water and it was very murky, so the snorkeling right off the beach was no good, but that was not the fault of Las Caletas. Upon arrival, we were directed to a dining area where we each could get a taco or two and a beverage. The tacos were delicious! Then we had to rush off to our live marine animal experience, which was pretty cool! Karla and Richi were our main trainers, they were great! Mara is the cutest Sea Lion! Then my daughter (10) did the zipline and the water slide, she enjoyed both! Then we headed back to the beach to join my husband and son. The drinks and service were great. Lunch wasn't served until 1:30 and by 1:00 we were absolutely starving, we were a bit disappointed that there were no snacks, since our breakfast was a taco at 9:45, especially after we had literally hiked to each activity. Lunch was delicious! Bottomline, this is an awesome tour, the entertainment was great and there are people all over the place to help you get where you need to go. But please be aware that everywhere is a hike, up and down steps and steep hills, admittedly, I am not in the best shape, and I had several moments I thought I was going to fall down, from exhaustion and slippery pathways; I am not sure that this tour is "easy". Be sure to have breakfast before you go and plan to hike if you want to do any of the activities in the Adventure Park. I would do this again!

We had a great time. My only complaint if I had one is the communication about when to get back on the boat to go home wasn’t very clear. So keep in mind your 7 hour excursion is with the ride to and from the island which is about 2 hours of travel in itself.
