Come with us and discover the amazing underwater world of the Caribbean! Our personable, experienced instructors are eager to show you the best dive spots in the blue waters around Costa Maya. Local diving is on the Meso-American Barrier Reef, the largest barrier reef in the Northern Hemisphere. The section of reef that fringes Costa Maya features finger formations, which have created numerous canyons and swim-throughs (perfect for scuba diving!). The reef is extremely healthy, and you'll likely see a large amount of plate coral, cactus coral, and numerous other species of both hard and soft corals. There's also a good chance that you'll spy such awesome creatures as barracudas, eels, lionfish, lobsters, manta rays, stingrays, and turtles. Tropical reef fish are abundant here as well, including butterflyfish, damsels, parrotfish, and wrasse. There's no need to worry if you're not a seasoned diver. Diving is very easy here, with minimal currents and depths ranging from 40’ to over 100’. Visibility is usually between 80’ and 100’.
