This 4-day tour offers an immersive experience of Jordan’s most iconic attractions. Start in Amman, the bustling capital of Jordan, before visiting the ancient Roman city of Jerash, where you’ll walk among grand temples and theaters. Continue to the Dead Sea for a relaxing swim in its salty waters and enjoy a sumptuous lunch at the 5-star Holiday Inn Resort. Day 3 takes you to Petra, where you will explore the spectacular archaeological sites, including the Treasury, Siq, and Royal Tombs. On the final day, enjoy some free time in Amman before your transfer back to the airport.

Local Flavor. Day 2 Amman – Jerash – Dead Sea Swim & Lunch 5* - Amman: Breakfast at the hotel, drive to visit a close second to Petra on the list of favorite destinations in Jordan is the ancient city of Jerash, which boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. Jerash lies on a plain surrounded by hilly wooded areas and fertile basins. Conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was one of the ten great Roman cities of the Decapolis League.

Archaeological Exploration. Roman provincial town tour: The city's golden age came under Roman rule, during which time it was known as Gerasa, and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal provincial Roman urbanism that is found throughout the Middle East, comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates. Beneath its external Graeco - Roman veneer, Jerash also preserves a subtle blend of east and west. Its architecture, religion, and languages reflect a process by which two powerful cultures meshed and coexisted - The Graeco-Roman world of the Mediterranean basin and the traditions of the Arab Orient.

Day 3
Petra Town
Archaeological Exploration. Day 3 Amman – Petra visit – Amman: Breakfast at the hotel, drive to visit Petra the world wonder, is undoubtedly Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction, and it is visited by tourists from all over the world. It is not known precisely when Petra was built, but the city began to prosper as the capital of the Nabataean Empire from the 1st century BC, which grew rich through trade in frankincense, myrrh, and spices. Petra was later annexed to the Roman Empire and continued to thrive until a large earthquake in 363 AD destroyed much of the city in the 4th century AD. The earthquake combined with changes in trade routes, eventually led to the downfall of the city which was ultimately abandoned. By the middle of the 7th century Petra appears to have been largely deserted and it was then lost to all except local Bedouin from the area. In 1812 a Swiss explorer named Johannes Burckhardt set out to ‘rediscover’ Petra; he dressed up as an Arab and convinced his Bedouin guide to take him to the lost city, after this, Petra became increasingly known in the West as a beautiful ancient city, and it began attracting visitors and continues to do so today.

Local Flavor. Visit Petra beauties: Petra is also known as the rose-red city, a name it gets from the wonderful color of the rock from which many of the city’s structures were carved. The Nabataeans buried their dead in intricate tombs that were cut out of the mountainsides and the city also had temples, a theater, and following the Roman annexation and later the Byzantine influence, a colonnaded street and churches. In addition to the magnificent remains of the Nabataean city, human settlement and land use for over 10,000 years can be traced in Petra, where great natural, cultural, archaeological and geological features merge. On December 6, 1985, Petra was designated a World Heritage Site, also Petra was chosen by the Smithsonian Magazine as one of the 28 places you should visit before you die.

The Jordanian Dinar (JOD) is the local currency. It’s best to exchange currency at the airport or local exchange offices. Credit Cards are widely accepted in major hotels and tourist spots, but always carry cash for smaller purchases in markets or rural areas Weather & Climate: Winter (December - February): The weather can be quite cold, especially in the desert areas and Petra. Bring layers and a warm jacket for evening temperatures Summer (June - August): Temperatures can soar, especially in the Dead Sea and Petra. Stay hydrated and wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses Spring & Fall: These are the best times to visit, with moderate temperatures perfect for sightseeing Dead Sea Tips: Skin Care: The mineral-rich mud is great for the skin, so don’t miss the chance to apply some Dead Sea mud while floating in the water. It’s a unique experience and highly beneficial for your skin. Don’t Shave: Avoid shaving before visiting the Dead Sea, as the saltwater can irritate freshly shaved skin. Avoid Getting Water in Your Eyes: The salinity of the Dead Sea can sting if it gets in your eyes, so be careful when floating or swimming Petra Tips: Wear Comfortable Shoes: Petra involves significant walking and hiking. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes suitable for rocky and uneven terrain Exploration: If you have extra time, explore beyond the main site, such as the Royal Tombs or the Monastery (Al-Deir). The hike to the Monastery is challenging but offers stunning views Local Customs and Tipping: Supplementing Income: In Jordan, the wages for tour guides, drivers, and hotel staff can be relatively low, so tips help supplement their earnings. It's a significant part of their income, especially for those working in tourism A Sign of Appreciation: Tipping is a way to show your appreciation for good service.
