Any such items must be checked into the free luggage storage area which may result in your having to leave the tour early to retrieve them at the entrance. Entrance into the Basilica requires a strict dress code. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. We cannot be held responsible for refused entry due to improper dress.

Your meeting point is at Piazza della Città Leonina, near the arches, where the square meets via di Porta Angelica. Facing the Arches, our meeting point is located at the corner of the square, on the left-hand side, next to the kiosk.

Very knowledgable tour guide who kept us informed about details as we waited in line for over an hour. The dome climb was amazing and the view spectacular, however very crowded. The crypts were disappointing as St. Peter’s was closed for repairs and ALSO JPII was curtained off for repairs. The whole city of Rome is under wraps for the preparations for jubilee next year. Other than that, I would recommend as at another time all these sites would be renovated and accessible.
