The Experience

What your day looks like

We will depart from Venice, visit the Murano island and glass factory visit. Our first stop takes us to Murano, world-famous for its centuries-old glassmaking tradition. Here, you will visit an authentic Murano glass factory, where skilled glass masters bring molten glass to life using techniques passed down through generations. During a live demonstration, you’ll witness the precision, creativity, and passion behind this extraordinary art form, watching raw material transform into elegant shapes in just minutes. After the demonstration, you’ll have free time to explore the showroom and purchase unique, handcrafted pieces, made directly by the artisans themselves—an opportunity to take home a genuine piece of Venetian craftsmanship. This stop offers a perfect blend of culture, tradition, and craftsmanship, setting the tone for an unforgettable lagoon experience. Explore Burano Island. Here you will have a 45-minute self-guided walk on Burano, which is the perfect amount of time to soak up the island’s charm at a relaxed pace. Start by wandering along the famous, colorful canals, where brightly painted fishermen’s houses create one of the most photogenic scenes in the Venetian Lagoon. Every corner is different, so take your time for photos and short strolls over the small bridges. As you explore, step into the quieter streets to discover local life, laundry hanging between houses, and traditional boats moored along the canals. You can also pop into one of the small lace shops, a reminder of Burano’s centuries-old lace-making tradition. If time allows, pause in the main square near the church for a quick coffee or gelato, enjoying the laid-back island atmosphere before heading back to the boat. In less than an hour, Burano offers color, authenticity, and a true taste of lagoon life—simple, beautiful, and unforgettable. Explore the island. After Burano, we will stop on Torcello, one of the most evocative and peaceful islands of the Venetian Lagoon. Located in the north-eastern lagoon, just 10 km from Piazza San Marco, Torcello feels worlds away from the busy heart of Venice. Today, the island is a quiet landscape of vegetable gardens, canals, and an open lagoon, home to only a few dozen residents. Yet 1,500 years ago, Torcello was the true cradle of Venetian civilization. Between the 7th and 10th centuries, it flourished as a major commercial and cultural center, with a population of up to 20,000 inhabitants and a dense network of churches, monasteries, and workshops. Over the centuries, as power and trade shifted toward Venice, Torcello gradually declined. Most of its buildings disappeared, leaving behind only a few extraordinary monuments that still tell the story of its glorious past. Today, Torcello is not just a historical site—it is a place of silence, nature, and deep lagoon atmosphere, where history and landscape merge. Visiting it offers a rare glimpse into the origins of Venice, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the lagoon.
