This was the most amazing activity we were able to experience in our entire lives. Truly unforgettable. We were picked up by a driver who first drove us to Mount Vesuvius. Although we were not prepared for a hike we still managed to make our way to the top for some incredible views and a once in a lifetime experience. After we made our way back down the mountain our driver took us to Cantina del Vesuvio Winery Russo Family. This place creates wine the proper way. The flavors you taste are unreal. We were first given a tour of their facility which provided an insight to their process of wine making. After the tour we sat down at the top of their terrace and we were provided with foods, snacks and wines to pair. We were given antipasto and a wonderful plate of spaghetti which may have been better than my Nonna's cooking. Sorry Nonna. After the lunch they gave us dessert with a small glass of grappa. I never heard of grappa before and I've been an Italian my entire life. Grappa is a dessert drink and I could probably chug a whole bottle of it. Buy some before you leave. Overall I recommend anyone in the area to try this. Well worth the price and the staff was amazing. Thank you. Not going to show any photos. It would spoil the experience. Just go and do it.
