What your day looks like
Pompeii Begin this exciting excursion directly at your hotel or from the pier, you will pass Mount Vesuvius as you begin your coastal drive south to the ancient city of Pompeii, one of the most famous excavations in the world. You will see the shadows of life as it was lived in 79 AD. Sorrento On your way from Pompeii to Sorrento, you will see typical villages and the dolomitic cliffs which have characterized this peninsula for many centuries. Close to the Amalfi coast, there is the Sorrento coast, which stretches from Castellammare di Stabia to Punta Campanella. The most representative city is Sorrento, a true haven of art and culture of the bell, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, with important historical and artistic heritage. One recommendation, do not leave the Sorrento Coast without tasting the famous Limoncello liquor. Positano Driving downhill directly through Positano descending the winding one-way road, bypassing many local restaurants, leads to the heart of the town the busy central Piazza Dei Mulini that is connected to a narrow downhill path and some occasional flights of steps that lead to the seafront. At Piazza dei Mulini, you must leave the car as all streets leading to the waterfront are for pedestrians only. These streets also lead to the cathedral, shops selling lemons, shoes and Positano fashion clothing. While Positanos ceramic and linen industries (Moda Positano) date from the 1950s, they boomed when tourists discovered the village in the 1970s. Today youll find lots of these shops on this street, along with galleries featuring the work of local artists (a visit to a factory is at your own discretion). There is a short walk back uphill in order to return to the car and this time, ascending the mountain, returning to the main coastal road to start the journey back to the hotel or ship.

Excellent day! Antonio was our driver and was right on time right outside the port exit. He immediately said that we would be short on time and suggested removing a city so we could actually enjoy our time. I do wish that had been communicated in advance but glad he did because it took about an hour to get to Sorrento and it would have taken another hour and half to get to Positano. We scratched Positano and enjoyed two full hours in Sorrento and had amazing pizza at their lunch recommendation. I also spoke to the owner of the company two days prior who suggested having someone to walk us through Pompeii. SO GLAD WE DID. Had no idea that it was so large and the guide ended up being so massive. The guide in Pompeii was an archeologist who had excavated at the historical site so he knew so much.

Our driver was very prompt. He was helpful in shopping locations. He recommended a wonderful place for us to eat traditional foods. His English was excellent. I would definitely consider booking him again in the future.

My husband and I loved this tour. It was so different from all of our northern tours and was so nice to see a completely different part of Italy. Our guide Enrico was so lively and fun right from the start early in the morning. He was so much fun to spend the day with. He stopped at some awesome little spots for photos and views in sorrento on our way to Positano. Then when we got to Positano we had about an hour to do all the shopping your heart desires. And there is a ton of shopping to do! Afterwards he took us to a wonderful winery for lunch and a tasting and tour in Pompeii. It was a very interesting experience to learn about the soil being different from the volcano. Afterwards we went to Pompeii to see the exihibit. What an insteresting and amazing place to see. On our way home from Pompeii he knew my love for Limoncello and took us to get the most amazing lemon sorbet on the street in Sorrento, and then to the Limoncello factory where I was able to do a tasting and buy many bottles and chocolates. Great day, great tour, and even better tour guide!!!
