Private: Florence & Pisa Tour from Livorno

The two ladies in the vans were excellent in telling us about places that we were passing in order to get to our destination. They dropped us off so that we would not have to walk as far and met them on time. For assurance, they gave us their phone numbers if we needed to leave earlier. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They shared many stories about the history and present day in Italy.

We booked the Private Florence & Pisa Tour from Livorno, and our guide, La Simo was exceptional in every possible way. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive throughout the entire day. In Pisa, she dropped us off barely 100 feet from the Leaning Tower — closer than we ever expected — making the visit effortless and stress free. Between Pisa and Florence, she surprised us with an impromptu stop at a small, special winery in the region. She knew how much we enjoy the wines of Tuscany, and this tasting ended up being one of the highlights of the entire day — intimate, authentic, and completely unexpected. Once in Florence, my wife wanted to pick up a few purses as gifts and already knew the style she was looking for. Without hesitation, La Simo took us straight to a trusted vendor in one of the main squares and even parked our van right next to the shop. Great selection, great prices, and exactly what my wife wanted. For lunch, she brought us to a small, intimate restaurant in the square. After introducing us to the owners, she left us to enjoy a magnificent meal — relaxed, delicious, and wonderfully local. The rest of the afternoon was spent sightseeing through Florence before heading back to the ship, and the entire day felt perfectly curated and beautifully executed. We highly recommend this excursion — and especially La Simo. She made the day unforgettable.

Nicki and Claudia Once we told them what we expected to see on the tour, they smiled and "This way!" It was marvelous. The long ride in the vans were fun for all with the ladies giving us interesting facts and tidbits of information. We would love to have them as our guides if ever we would regurn.

Let me preface this by saying that we have never scheduled tours before because we have heard of people getting scammed by tour guides but not the guides with this company. Simona was the best. She picked us up from the port on time and in a very clean van. She explained us about our tour and what it consisted of and she also offered some suggestions as to other things we could do. We got to Pisa earlier than the other tour buses and had plenty of time to explore the area literally by ourselves, so that by the time we left the rest of the world was coming in. We made our way to Florence when it started raining but Simona said not to worry she had plenty of umbrellas in the van. She took us around the city explained everything about the city center the Duomo, Statue of David, and the other sculptures in the area. From Florence and on the way to the ship she suggested a tour and wine tasting at an organic vineyard, there we had some of the best wine and olive oil that we’ve ever tasted. We had the time of our tour there. Simona was the best friendly, kind and especially thoughtful. So we did not have a good time in Pisa and Florence, we had a wonderful time with our tour guide Simona.

My wife and I were the only travelers in the van with Simona, and she was a great guide, making it a memorable trip. She certainly knew her way around, and in the end of the day we were thankful for her.

We had the time of our lives. Simon’s went above and beyond. We saw everything we wanted and more. I highly recommend this tour and Simon’s. She is the absolute best!
