Our Amalfi Coast full-day tour covers all the major beauties of the Amalfi Coast: Pompeii (Herculaneum ruins on request instead of Pompeii), Sorrento and Positano. It is the ideal choice if you are stopping in Naples for just one day and want to visit the most towns possible. Pompeii offers a vision of a Roman town frozen in time due to the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You will see Roman shops, baths, and brothels. Experience Pompeii before and after the epic eruption 2,000 years ago. Imagine the moment their world vanished and discover the miraculous artifacts unearthed since. Witness the life and death of those frozen in time by ash. Herculaneum as Pompeii was a town buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD which provides a complete and vivid picture of society and daily life of Roman society. Herculaneum disappeared under a pyroclastic flow of volcanic mud as Pompeii was buried under a thick layer of volcanic ash and stone. You will see spacious houses shrines, baths and outside the walls and surroundings containing many fine villas such as the magnificent Villa of the Papyri. Herculaneum was a holiday resort for rich Romans from the region with its fine views of and easy access to the sea. The Amalfi Coast tour takes you along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Numerous bends and constant changing views will captivate you, as you witness the fairytale villages that seem to be stuck to the side of cliffs. It is a coastline, which has inspired many artists, poets, and writers throughout the years.

- Admission fees to Pompeii (children younger than 18 years old enter free showing a valid ID (passport/citizenship/driver’s license). tickets must be purchased in advance. An exact link to use will be sent to you upon booking. - Guide for inside the ruins. we can arrange a 2hr guide for Pompeii for the cost of €160. - Meals, drinks - Gratuities range between 10-20 percent (optional but appreciated)
What to Bring
We recommend booking a guide (extra cost). As a guide can provide ample historical information.
Restrictions
Herculaneum can be requested but as a substitute Archaeological site; meaning instead of Pompeii. Only one site can be visited and still keep the Amalfi Coast portion of the tour intact. Please note that this is NOT a guided tour, it is an itinerary with a private driver.
Meeting & Pickup
Pickup available from Naples, Amalfi, Sorrento. Cruise passengers are picked up and returned to the cruise ship terminal
