Bologna Food Tour - Eat, Learn and have fun with a Local
What your day looks like
Our bologna food tour will escort you to the discovery of bologna and its history through the classical dishes of emilia-Romagna traditions. We will begin with a rich appetizer composed of local cured meats and warm, hand-baked bread. Then we will have classic tortellini or tagliatelle, impossible to miss when in bologna, and typical fried meat with cream, parmesan cheese, and smoked ham. The meal and the bologna food tour end with a slice of cake (or an artisanal gelato) and an espresso. This is a walking food and wine tour, ideal for exploring bologna with eyes and palate. For our most exigent guests, we also offer the drink card, a pass for tasting one or more glasses of wine, and/or ale at each of the 4 food stops.

How to spend a rainy Saturday in Bologna? Let Ilaria and her gorgeous smile show you the historic central area of Bologna and take you on a culinary journey! Hand-made pasta with delicious sauces, authentic mortadella sandwiches, veal cutlets topped with baked ham and Parmesan, plus first-class gelato. The conversations were just as filling as the food. We had a terrific time! Well worth the money!
Giulia was our lovely and gracious food tour host. She passionately guided us through historic highlights, and Bolognese food culture. We were delighted to dine at Bologna’s oldest family owned restaurant and we really appreciated our conversation and love of language. Grazie mille Giulia, bacio e bacio!
Excellent! Our guide took us to 4 wonderful eateries. First was Sfogliarina and 4 different types of pasta. As best as I remember: lasagna all bolognese, tortellini with pork filling, spinach gramigna and tortelloni with cheese filling. Second was Murtadela for street food sandwiches and beer. Third was Osteria del Capnello with veal topped with Parma ham and melted parmesan. Fourth, Glom for gelato.
