The Experience

What your day looks like

Bali’s street food is fresh, fast, cheap, and a great way to crack into the local scene. Join this Bali tour to go behind the tourist areas to where the locals eat: on Eat Street! We’ll stop at a secret warung that local taxi drivers love, a roadside café specializing in Bali’s most famous dish, and finish it up with an Indonesian dessert cooked on open coals. Hungry yet?! Local Impact: How you taking this tour will benefit the local community: This tour supports farmers in the Kerobokan area by donating a portion of your tour fee to a local farmer’s cooperative. During the visit to the temple, your guide will explain how the co-op works across the rice fields, the intricate workings of the 1,000-year-old subak irrigation system and its importance to the community

What to Bring

Note that you will be trekking for about 2 to 3 kilometers through a rice field and therefore could get wet. Please wear clothing and footwear that you are comfortable walking in, and that you won’t mind if they get muddy or dirty. Also, bring your camera and a sense of adventure! If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides a tip — though not compulsory — is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many destinations.
