The tour usually begins with a visit to a local bakery where you can sample traditional Icelandic pastries, such as kleina, a deep-fried doughnut-like pastry. You will, of course, learn about the history of these treats and how the bakers themselves make them. Next, you'll visit a specialty shop to indulge in some of the finest Icelandic chocolates. You'll discover the unique flavors and ingredients that make Icelandic chocolate stand out from the rest, such as the use of licorice, birch sugar, and local wild berries. It's worth mentioning that the Icelandic licorice is sweet and mild. The tour also includes visiting a local ice cream parlor to taste some of the creamiest and most delicious ice creams you'll ever try. You can choose from various flavors, including some unique to Iceland, like licorice and possibly skyr, the Icelandic dairy product. Finally, the tour ends with a stop at another famous candy shop where you can indulge in various Icelandic candies and sweets, possibly such as the iconic "Draumur" chocolate bar or the delicious combo of Licorice and chocolate called Þristur.
