The Experience
What your day looks like
The traditional Golden Circle includes Þingvellir National Park, Geysir Geothermal Area, and Gullfoss Waterfall, but we also add several food stops, snacks, and more on this bespoke tour, so it's also a food journey and not just the beautiful sights. The places we visit on our food journey depend on the season & time of day, but we always include a great lunch, farm-made Ice cream, and more. There is also the possibility of adjusting the food stops based on dietary restrictions & needs.

We recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing! That means multiple layers in Iceland as it can be very unpredictable
Restrictions
Please note that by law, children who are 134cm (4'5") or shorter are required to use a booster seat while traveling. Please inform us if we need to arrange this for you.
Meeting & Pickup
We offer pickup from the hotels/accommodations within the specified radius. If you are staying outside of the downtown area we kindly ask you to contact us and specify your pick-up point. Your guide will meet you at your chosen pick-up point. Please be ready 15 minutes before to ensure smooth departure. Our vehicles are clearly marked with the "Your Friend in Reykjavik" logo If arriving via port, upon debarkation, exit the cruise ship terminal via the marked passageways which will lead you directly to the parking/taxi area of the cruise terminal. This is a very open and spacious parking lot with a clothing store in the direct vicinity. The local representative will be waiting for you near the tour vehicle which is marked with YOUR FRIEND IN REYKJAVIK. The local representative will be wearing a light-blue jacket and holding a sign with the guest's name. To ensure a smooth departure, we kindly ask all guests to please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 15 minutes before the scheduled tour time. This was a fabulous day trip with I think 9 different sites, multiple culinary experiences, and a terrific tour guide (Adrian). We felt like we got a good feel for Iceland from this very rich experience. All the food options were educational and inviting. We've come to make Skyr a regular part of our diet! :-) I highly recommend this tour if you, like us, want to pack in a ton of experience in a limited amount of time.
