What your day looks like
Our private customized car tours follow the same format as our private customized walking tours but with the addition of a private hire vehicle. They are ideal for those who have difficulty walking, families with small children, people who find the humidity difficult to contend with and for those who tire more easily. Our cars can seat a maximum of 5 passengers plus the guide and driver. If you have not been to Hong Kong before and have no preferences we will give you a comprehensive Hong Kong city tour. We will cover a combination of tourist highlights local neighborhoods and will learn about the culture and history of Hong Kong. We will visit a mix of areas on both Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon (unless you request otherwise). We can combine some of the must see’s like Victoria Peak and riding the Star Ferry with something a little more off the beaten track to ensure that you see Hong Kong for what it really is; a city of contrasts. If you are a foodie but do not want to do our full food tour we can combine foodie elements into your tour, ensuring that you still get a wonderful mouthwatering taste of Hong Kong. If you would like to pick up some souvenirs en route we can show you our favorite markets. Our most popular tour duration is 6 hours, which offers a comfortable half-day experience with time to see more areas without rushing. The 8-hour full-day tour is ideal for travelers seeking a more in-depth experience, covering more neighborhoods, viewpoints, and local spots at an easy pace.

Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
During your private customized car tour we will put an itinerary together that ensures you see the things that will interest you the most and at a pace that suits you. Some popular sites that you may like to include in your private car tour: Victoria Peak – admiring the view and learning about the notable buildings and the development of the city. Sheung Wan – learning about Chinese Medicine and medicinal foods. Central – exploring the banking and financial district and learning about Feng Shui in architecture and business. Soho – riding the world’s longest escalator system and seeing the most westernised side of Hong Kong. Tsim Sha Tsui – discover some of Hong Kong’s oldest and most notable buildings including The Peninsula Hotel and Hullet House; the former marine police headquarters. Mong Kok – Explore the colourful Flower Market, Bird Market, Goldfish Market and Ladies Market. Sham Shui Po – visit the least affluent area of Hong Kong and learn about the day to day life of the average Hong Konger. Aberdeen – take a short cruise through Aberdeen Harbour. Stanley – take a stroll along the promenade, shop at the famous Stanley Markets and learn about Stanley’s history as a base for pirates. Some discussion topics that you may be interested in: History – learn about the British colonisation of Hong Kong, the Opium Wars and Hong Kong’s return to China. Culture and religion – visit one or more of Hong Kong’s beautiful temples to learn about the religions of Taoism and Buddhism. Understand the importance of offerings and fortune telling. Politics – discuss the agreements under which Hong Kong was returned to China in 1997 the current political environment. Food – eat your way through Hong Kong tasting the Cantonese favourites of Dim Sum, Wonton Noodles, BBQ Pork, Fish Balls, Egg Puffs and more.

Before Booking
As mandated by Hong Kong law, children under 8 years old or shorter than 1.35 meters must use a child safety restraint device. If you are traveling with a child, please provide their age and height in advance so we can arrange the appropriate safety seat or restraint. If you require an infant seat, there will be an additional charge.
