What travelers are saying
Our guide was amazing. We were not expecting a private guide. It was just my wife and I. He made us feel welcome to Roatan. As we drove across the island, he told us about the history of the island. He also pointed out various points of interest. The guide for our boat tour was Captain Alex! What an amazing tour of the mangroves and the village in Oak Ridge. The food tasting was interesting and felt authentic too. We were slightly disappointed by the recent change in Honduran law in regards to holding the animals. But the tour was still pretty intimate. The only other “negative” was a lack of communication on pick up or a meeting place. We had mentioned we had a rental car when signing up for the tour. We tried to call and email the day before. I didn’t receive a response. My wife did but the person stopped responding and never gave an answer if we were meeting somewhere or being picked up. We drove to a port and lucked up and found an employee of the tour company. She was finally able to get a guide to us.
Great company on the ground, Roatan Henry tour. Easy to find and we had a car with your driver to ourselves. It was awesome. We spent most of the day going from place to place and in our car just us and our driver. Friendly and fun and total value! Very cool sites ats at the Mangrove Forrest and Sloth Sanctuary. The stop at Punta Gorda had pretty views but no really anything to see.
