North Grande-Terre ⦿ Babin beach, MORNE-À-L'EAU ⦿ 1h00 In the town of Morne-à-L! Water The picturesque beach of Babin overlooks an extremely calm body of water. The mangroves whose roots bathe in the sea, release the water of a brackish color. Underfoot, a greyish mud that attracts more and more swimmers. It is attributed to virtues against rheumatism, and osteoarthritis, but especially against skin diseases. Beautiful panoramic view of the North Basse Terre and the mangrove split by the sea. North Grande-Terre ⦿ Slave Marches, PETIT-CANAL ⦿ 30min Located in the town of Petit-Canal, a staircase of 54 cut stone steps leading to the esplanade where the sales of slaves took place when they got off the boat. Plates recall the names of the different African ethnic groups. At the foot of the steps stands the bust of Louis Delgrès, who fought to the death against the re-establishment of slavery in 1802. North Grande-Terre ⦿ Ravine Gaschet , PETIT-CANAL ⦿ 30min In the town of Petit-Canal, is Lake Gaschet, it is the largest body of fresh water in Guadeloupe. Nearby is the Hindu temple Gaschet. North Grande-Terre ⦿ Pointe de la Grande Vigie, ANSE-BERTRAND ⦿ 1h In the town of Anse-Bertrand, a beautiful road leads to the extreme northern tip of the island. We take a marked path to discover high cliffs of more than 80 m plunging into the Atlantic Ocean agitated by the waves. In good weather, you can see the islands of La Désirade (50 km), Antigua (70 km,) and Montserrat. North Grande-Terre ⦿ Duval site, PETIT-CANAL ⦿ 30min In the town of Petit-Canal, this meeting and expression site extends over 6 hectares. There is the international space of the Ka and the drums of the south where installed dhugetambour-ka symbol this music. At this place, is the "alley of Tanbouyés" with 12 totems representing the most illustrious Ka masters. North Grande-Terre ⦿ Anse Maurice Beach, PETIT-CANAL ⦿ 1h Located in the town of Petit-Canal, the beach is accessible by an impressive steeply sloping road. Popular with families, this peaceful beach is embellished with grape trees and carpets which allow a very pleasant picnic break or a resting place in the shade. Protected by a coral reef, which makes it a quiet and pleasant place to swim. Perfect for exploring the seabed with a mask and snorkel.
