This three-day journey offers an immersive experience of The Gambia's natural beauty, wildlife, and culture. The adventure begins with a visit to Makasutu Cultural Forest, a lush palm forest on the banks of a tranquil river. Here, visitors can explore diverse ecosystems, spot wildlife like baboons and pygmy deer, and observe local traditions such as palm wine tapping and oyster harvesting. A vibrant cultural performance under the iconic Baobab tree follows a canoe trip and nature walk. The day concludes with an overnight stay at the serene Sindola Safari Lodge. The journey continues to Tendaba Camp near Kiang West National Park, where a boat trip through the mangroves reveals a wealth of birdlife. Afterward, guests travel to the eco-retreat Sandele Lodge in Kartong, enjoying a peaceful evening surrounded by nature. The experience wraps up with a visit to the Kartong reptile farm, offering a close look at various reptiles, including snakes and crocodiles, under the guidance of experts. The trip ends at Sanyang Beach, where guests can unwind with lunch by the ocean, swim, or relax on the sandy shores before returning to their hotels. Eco Tour. Makasutu Cultural Forest: The journey continues to the Makasutu Cultural Forest, a palm forest nestled along the winding tributary of the River Gambia. This enchanting area is a blend of diverse ecosystems, including dense forest, savanna, and mangroves. Makasutu is teeming with wildlife such as various bird species, monkeys, monitor lizards, pygmy deer, and mongoose. With a touch of luck, you might even spot baboons. The experience includes a serene canoe trip and guided nature walks, providing an up-close encounter with the region’s natural beauty. Along the way, observe traditional bush life, including palm wine tappers, local fishermen, and women harvesting oysters from the mangroves. Following the activities, enjoy a delicious lunch paired with the rhythmic sounds of traditional drumming and dancing beneath the majestic Baobab tree—truly an authentic African experience. From Makasutu, the adventure continues with a drive to Sindola Safari Lodge, located in Kanilai, within the Foni district of The Gambia's western division. Surrounded by a picturesque setting, the lodge offers a variety of sports facilities, ensuring a relaxing end to an unforgettable day.

To Tendaba Camp: After breakfast, the journey resumes with an early drive to Tendaba Camp, located along the riverside of Kiang West National Park.

Boating at Tendaba. Tendaba: After breakfast, the journey continues with an early drive to Tendaba Camp, located along the riverside of Kiang West National Park. Upon arrival, a 1½-hour boat trip through the mangroves is organized, offering the opportunity to observe numerous birds resting on the tall mangrove trees. Lunch will be served upon returning to the camp. After lunch, the journey proceeds to Kartong, where guests will be accommodated at the Sandele Lodge.

Day 3

To Kartong Reptile Farm: After breakfast at the Sandele Lodge, we will begin the drive to the Kartong Reptile Farm.

Eco Tour. Kartong Reptile Farm: The farm is home to various species of reptiles, including different types of snakes, crocodiles, and other reptiles. A guided tour of the farm will be provided, and brave guests will have the opportunity to stroke some of the reptiles, with guidance and advice from the farm's experts. After the farm visit, we will head to Sanyang, where lunch will be served at the Rainbow Restaurant, located along the sandy beach. Enjoy the refreshing Atlantic Ocean breeze while savoring your meal. There will be time for swimming in the ocean or relaxing on a sunbed before we drive back to your respective hotel.
