Orsay Museum Guided Tour - Semi-Private
What your day looks like
There is a reason Impressionism is the world’s most beloved art movement. Its vibrant colors, bold brushstrokes, and evocative depictions of Parisian life in the 1800s capture a unique moment in time. From sunlit landscapes to bustling scenes of Belle Époque life, the masterpieces of the Musée d’Orsay transport you into the heart of 19th-century France. Join one of our expert guides for a 2.5-hour semi-private tour of this magnificent, repurposed century-old train station, now home to the world’s greatest collection of Impressionist art. With groups limited to just six guests, you will enjoy a highly interactive experience as your guide reveals the groundbreaking techniques and artistic rivalries that shaped the movement. Admire Monet’s luminous cityscapes, Pissarro’s idyllic landscapes, and Degas’ graceful ballerinas. Stand before Van Gogh’s iconic Self-Portrait and Starry Night Over the Rhône to gain insight into his genius and inner turmoil. By the end of the tour, you will understand how these artists defied convention and forever changed the course of art history. Art lovers and first-time visitors alike will leave with a deeper appreciation for Impressionism. To avoid crowds, consider the Thursday evening tour.

What travelers are saying
Fabulous art museum and knowledge guide.
The most amazing collection of post Impressionism. Great guide.
Emilie was delightful! Wonderful history on the creation of Musee de Orsay, background on birth of Impressionism, and she randomly stopped at Monets’ Celebration of June 30th, on June 30th and pondered as to why it was titled as such since Bastille Day was i14 days away. I offered, maybe because it is my birthday today!!! It was an AMAZING moment and a memory I will carry in my heart forever ❣️
