Sustainable Fishing Tour & Dining Experience Description: Enjoy one of the best ways to explore the Faroe Islands. This is an authentic full-day experience in the Faroe Islands that combines adventure, fishing, and local cuisine. Begin with a scenic boat tour from the marina of Árnafjørður on Borðoy, sailing in a traditional Faroese wooden boat — a masterpiece of local craftsmanship. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs, ravines, and grottoes, you’ll cast your fishing line in pristine waters where haddock and Atlantic cod thrive. Keep an eye out for seals and seabirds as you sail mindfully through their natural habitat. Returning to the marina with your catch of fresh fish, you’ll drive 10 minutes to neighboring village Hvannasund. Your local host, Myrna, warmly welcomes you into her home, where you’ll begin with a tasting of traditional Faroese specialties. Next, your host will demonstrate how to clean and prepare your catch of fish before cooking a delicious meal. A teacher by training and authorized tour guide Myrna communicates authentic Faroese culture and cuisine. As your meal bakes, enjoy a guided walk through the village and hear stories about Faroese traditions, daily life, and culture — a true taste of authentic island hospitality. Notes: 1.
