Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Meet your guide and driver outside the main port gate. Please read Tallinn meeting instructions carefully. We will also send you a copy at the time of booking. It's better to print them out! The tour starts from the cruise port, where our guide picks you up and together you take an easy 15 to 20-minute walk to the Tallinn Old Town. Ancient Hanseatic town Tallinn holds its charm with narrow cobblestone streets, red tile roofs, medieval gothic style houses and the pride of being called the best-preserved old town in Northern Europe. The tour enables you to take a good look at the picturesque Lower Town, the fortified Town Wall with many towers, the famous Town Hall and one of the oldest continuously functioning pharmacies in the world. Interesting legends mingled with the views of the churches of St. Olav's, St. Nicholas and the Holy Spirit will take you into the right mood of the old times in this city. In the Upper Town Alexander Nevskij's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, Dome Church and magnificent panoramic views from Toompea Hill will be also part of your experience of this romantic medieval wonderland. Our friendly and well-informed guide can provide you with so much more than just the tour info – feel free to inquire all about the current life, issues and most exciting details about the nowadays life in Estonia. The tour ends in the Old Town area and you can freely continue the exploration on your own and do some shopping, too. Now that you know most of the Old Town – getting back to the ship is fairly easy.
