The journey, in full
Meet your guide and driver at the lobby (hotel guests) or outside the main port gate (cruise ship passengers). Please read Tallinn meeting instructions carefully. We will also send you a copy at the time of booking. It's better to print them out! Your guide will pick you up by private vehicle and will take you to the Upper Old Town to see St. Olav's Church, Alexander Nevskij's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament and magnificent panoramic views from Toompea Hill. The old city with its romantic cobblestone streets, charming red roofs, and ancient looking but well-tended houses are considered the best-preserved old town in Northern Europe. The Lower Town with its daily bustle resembles much the times of old, people still rush around and merchants try to offer you the best piece of their goods. Your tour guide will give you the best advice on the most authentic souvenirs. There is also some time reserved for a shopping break in the wonderful Masters Courtyard where you can enjoy the skills of local artisans. The best landmarks of the Old Town walk include the fortified Town Wall with many towers, the Town Hall and one of the oldest continuously functioning pharmacies in the world. Our friendly and well-informed guide can provide you with so much more than just the tour info – feel free to inquire all about the current life, issues and most exciting details about the nowadays life in Estonia. We will also enjoy a coffee break before continuing with the tour. The second part of the tour will enable you a broader view of Tallinn. The joyous drive will include the most interesting sights and amazingly beautiful places. You will see the baroque style Kadriorg Art Museum and gardens, built by Peter the Great, current Presidential Palace, modern and fashionable KUMU Estonian Art Museum, Song Festival Grounds, St Bridget’s Convent Ruins and Olympic Village. The tour ends back at hotel or in the harbor, where you can comfortably board your ship.
