The Experience

What your day looks like

Experience one of England’s most spectacular coastal landscapes on this guided hiking tour of the Seven Sisters cliffs from Brighton. After meeting your guide just behind Brighton Station on Stroudley Road, we travel by minibus through the rolling countryside of the South Downs National Park to the village of East Dean. From here, we begin a three-hour guided coastal hike across the iconic chalk hills of the Seven Sisters. The route takes us via Crowlink and along the dramatic cliff ridges, with uninterrupted views over the English Channel. Expect steady climbs and descents as we follow the natural contours of this remarkable coastline. We descend into Birling Gap for a short rest break, where restrooms and a café are available. The walk then continues up toward Belle Tout Lighthouse before returning inland to East Dean village. Following a short transfer, we complete the day with a second guided walk at Seaford Head (approximately 1.5 hours). From here, you’ll enjoy sweeping panoramic views back across the entire Seven Sisters range — a completely different and breathtaking perspective. This experience is designed for active travellers who want to explore the Seven Sisters properly — on foot, immersed in the landscape rather than viewing it from a single stop. The tour involves approximately 4.5–5 hours of walking over uneven terrain with sustained hills and is best suited to guests with a reasonable level of fitness.
