VIP Royal High Tea at Kensington Palace

We meet at Queensway Station which is at the entrance to the Park. Your guide will brief you on the itinerary which comprises a 40 to 50 minute walk in the Royal grounds prior to your high tea in the Palace. you will be seated on a private table in a 300 year old tea room in the shadow of the Palace. Your guide will describe the 1000 year old history of Hyde Park on your stroll towards the Italian Garden which is truly a beautiful feature with its fountains and vistas across the Long Water. Photo opportunities abound and the park is home to a large variety of water fowl with a dedication to wildlife in the cultivation of parkland. Our stroll continues to see the Peter Pan Statue, a venue for children of all ages which commands a view across the 630 acres of London's green space. Heading back towards the Palace we will glimpse the Albert Hall in the distance and stand by a magnificent bronze statue called Physical Energy which dominates the centre of Kensington Gardens. The Palace will be visible across the Round Pond that formed the original water feature in the gardens and is home to numerous bird species including the majestic Swans that belong to King Charles. Your guide will explain the history of the Palace which was built in 1698 for King William and was the birthplace of Queen Victoria. Home to Princess Diana after her marriage to Prince Charles it is where Prince William and Princess Kate lived prior to their move to Windsor. Your tea will be served on your private table in the Orangery. The tea service lasts about 45-60 minutes according to your preference. You will be then free to explore the grounds at leisure. The location is within 10 minutes of public transport.
