In this 2-hour cooking experience, Tere will guide you in creating an authentic Catalan meal in her small kitchen. She often visits her family in Barcelona, bringing back her favorite ingredients to use alongside the freshest local produce. During your London cooking class, you’ll learn to prepare 2–3 classic dishes such as pan con tomate with padrón peppers (Catalan toast with tomato), tortilla de patatas (traditional potato omelet) or espinacas a la catalana (fresh spinach sautéed with raisins and pine nuts), and fideuá or paella (either seafood, chicken or a vegetarian option). After cooking, sit down together to enjoy the meal you’ve helped prepare, accompanied by laughter, engaging conversation, and stories of growing up in London and Barcelona. This unique in-home Spanish cooking class on a Dutch barge houseboat in East London is the perfect local London experience, blending art, authentic food, and culture. Notes: 1. Tere has a fluffy rag-doll cat, Tippi, who is friendly and gentle. 2. Tere can accommodate lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets, with advance notice. 3.
