What your day looks like
Make the most of your stop at Southampton with this private tour to see some of the region's fascinating sights. You will visit the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral - the cathedral which inspired Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth novel. Inside the cathedral, you can see the world's oldest working clock as well as a rare copy of the 1215 Magna Carta. After visiting the cathedral you will visit the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath - the city where your guide was born and grew up. Famous for its hot springs, architecture, and Jane Austen your local guide will give you a private walking tour before stopping for lunch at a historic dining spot in the city. On the return to Southampton, you will stop at one of Britain's most famous monuments - Stonehenge for a private guided tour of the stone circle.

The journey, in full
- You will be collected from your cruise ship/hotel in Southampton and taken by private transport to Salisbury Cathedral, approx. 1 hour away. - The cathedral was the inspiration behind Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth novel. Your guide will take you around the cathedral and you will be able to see the world's oldest working clock as well as an original 1215 copy of the Magna Carta. - After visiting the cathedral you will be driven to the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath. The city is famous for its hot springs, architecture, and Jane Austen. Your guide will take you on a walking tour to show you the famous buildings and the hot springs and will bring the city to life with stories about its past and present. - During your tour of Bath you will have lunch at a historic dining spot in the city. - On your return to Southampton there will be a stop to explore one of Britain's most famous monuments - Stonehenge. You will be taken around the Visitor Centre and the ancient stone circle and your guide will bring the stones to life with interesting stories about its construction and history. Your guide has attended talks by some of the leading archaeologists at Stonehenge and will share with you their latest discoveries. - You will return to Southampton between 7 and 7:30 pm. Please advise if you need to return before this time.
