The tour takes you through part of the Bancroft Gardens and along the River Avon. While you walk, you will hear more about Shakespeare. The tour passes by the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. You will hear about the theatre, its history, and architect while you walk. The tour takes you past The Swan Theatre. You will hear about the theatre and its connection to Shakespeare while you walk. The tour goes alongside a stretch of the River Avon. While you walk, you will hear a bit more about the famous bard and some of what inspired his plays. The tour passes by the Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare was baptized and where he is buried. You will hear about the curse he famously placed on his own tomb while you walk. The tour passes by Hall's Croft. You will hear about it while you walk. The tour passes by Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall. You will hear about Shakespeare's early days and how school might have inspired parts of his plays. The tour ends outside Shakespeare's New Place, which is only a short distance from the tour's start location.
