The Experience

What your day looks like

A full day tour and hotel transfer with the collection at your cruise terminal. This service is available on all dates (April to November) when Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Oceania, NCL, Celebrity, Princess and Disney cruise ships are visiting Southampton. You will be driven in an air-conditioned touring bus with a professional guide accompanying you throughout the day. On a memorable day, you will see three world-class attractions: Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle plus much more. After travelling through the stunning countryside and villages of Wiltshire, we arrive for a short photo stop in the charming town of Salisbury. We walk through the Medieval St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close, seeing an impressive collection of historic buildings, and then take time to admire its impressive tower and spire - at 404 feet the tallest in the country - constructed in a short space of time from 1220 to 1258. We then enter the cloisters, built from 1261, and the largest in the country, to complete our walk. Upon leaving Salisbury, we pass through the medieval town center where there still remains many wooden framed buildings from about the 13th to 15th Century when Salisbury was at its most prosperous. The next stop on this historic tour is our visit to Stonehenge. Shrouded in mystery, we learn of what is known and what may never be known about the backstory to this stone circle, its creators, worshipers, and the alignments to the yearly cycle. We will spend around 90 minutes at this awe-inspiring ancient circle where your guide will explain to you the many theories and mysteries behind Stonehenge as you approach the monument. Entry is included in the price of the ticket and includes the shuttle bus to the stones, access to the visitor center, gift shop, and cafe. (There is free wifi for all to use at Stonehenge visitor center.) It is a 75-90 minute drive from Stonehenge to Windsor. We aim to arrive at Windsor in the early afternoon. Over 900 years of royal history are waiting for you in Windsor Castle, which is perched high above the River Thames. From William the Conqueror all the way through to the current King, successive monarchs have lived here and left their mark on what is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. See for yourself the splendor of St. Georges Chapel and the sumptuous state apartments. Windsor itself is a pretty town full of traditional shops and historic pubs. We stop longer than most tours, enough time to take a full visit to Windsor Castle and have time for something to eat and a quick walk around the Old Town. The guide will not enter Windsor Castle with you. You will receive a personal audio guide on admission so you can take in Windsor Castle at your own pace. If you don't want to visit the castle, there is much else to do in Windsor and Eton. The guide will be available to assist you in having a very enjoyable few hours. *Please note that the castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On these days, we will provide a tour of the town of Windsor, which will include photo opportunities of the castle exterior.* At the end of the day, the coach will take you to selected hotels in Central London or Heathrow. We also drop at Victoria, Kings Cross, St.Pancras and Paddington stations, plus Heathrow terminals 1-5.

It was a good tour. I like the history on the bus ride to the locations and then the chance to explore on our own. I really enjoyed Stonehenge and Windsor, but did not really need to spend time in Salisbury.

Perfect day to spend our day after disembarking our ship and last day of our vacation! Pick up at the port was super easy. So glad we went with a tour that included more than Stonehenge. Definitely recommend!

This was a great transfer and tour combination after our cruise. The pickup was seamless, the tour was great with ample time in Salisbury, Stonehenge, and Windsor. This was a great way to see Salibury, Stonegenge, and Windsor enroute back to London.

Awesome tour! Best way to spend the last night in Britain. Had enough time to see all the sights. Mike was the best tour guide ever snd so was our bus driver. A definite must for anyone travelling to London.
