What travelers are saying
The tour was very enjoyable and the guests were glad they could visit the charming villages.
The Cotswolds and Oxford are amazing places to visit, and I highly recommend them; however, this tour felt very rushed and fell short of my expectations. I rated this tour 4 out of 5 stars. Although we were disappointed at how rushed it was, we were still happy we got to see these locations. The description and itinerary say, “Enjoy the morning in Oxford”, and I interpreted that as a few hours at minimum in Oxford, but that was not the case. We had no preference as to which location we visited first. We visited the Cotswolds (Burford & Bibury) first, and Oxford second. Our first stop was Burford, and it was less than 50 minutes. It was a cute village with a Main Street which included shops and cafes, but by the time we used the toilet and grabbed a quick snack and bottled water, we barely had time to walk around, and we did not have enough time to walk up and down Main Street. Our next stop was Bibury and that was 25 minutes, I believe. Bibury was a very charming village with not a lot to see, so we had enough time there. We enjoyed seeing the famous 14th-century weaver row cottages, they were very picturesque. From Bibury, we headed to Oxford. Our schedule included 2 hours in Oxford and by the time we arrived, we felt rushed to find a place to eat before we ran out of time to get a meal. That didn’t leave us much time to look around. We did see a few main highlights, but we would have enjoyed at least another hour there. I would suggest that rather than saying “Stroll and enjoy lunch in the Cotwalds” or “Enjoy the morning in Oxford”, include more information about how much time would be allowed at each stop. I feel the verbiage is misleading. Our guide Graham was wonderful and made the tour a positive experience. If I knew at the time of booking what I know now, I would have booked a day trip to Oxford and a day trip to The Cotswolds, and would not have combined them.
I highly recommend this tour! I am not much of a guided tour person but this is more transportation and recommendations along the way and free time on your own at each stop which I loved! Our guide was incredible! I would look up this tour company again! If you have a short stay and want to see some of the country side this is a great taste of it!
Very enjoyable day trip. Our driver/guide was excellent.
Guide was fantastic and the tour was well done!
We saw exactly what we wanted to see. It was an unusually sweltering hot day and the Rabbie's van A/C compressor was on the fritz, so the drive back to London was honestly excruciating (running into an hour's worth of traffic didn't help!). We were all dripping in sweat by the time we arrive back in London. It was cooler outside the van than inside. Hopefully Rabbie's maintains their A/C better for future summer tours. Other than that, it was what we'd hoped for.
Great tour! jack our guide abs driver was very accommodating and Knowlegeable ! Just wished we had more time at the first Cotswell town and less at the second one - thank you for a great experience
Our guide Jennifer was very friendly, knowledgeable, and was a wonderful driver. The sites were incredible to see and experience, we wish we could’ve stayed out in the English countryside longer! Highly recommend this tour
