Private Visit to Leeds Castle: Described as 'the loveliest castle in the world' by Lord Conway, Leeds Castle sits on 500 acres of landscaped parkland across two idyllic islands, deep in the heart of the magnificent Kent countryside. Early arrival ensures an almost private visit to Leeds Castle, where Henry VIII retreated to escape the plague raging in London during his reign. Exclusive to Golden Tours at Leeds Castle: Golden Tours and Leeds Castle have the ultimate Tudor treat for you! Upon arrival at Leeds Castle you will be greeted by your guide. Discover the history of this magical castle as Henry VIII would have! Visit Canterbury Cathedral: Centre of English Christianity and home to a succession of 104 Archbishops since Augustine, Canterbury is a magnificent medieval city that’s a must for any history buff. Discover the scene of Archbishop Thomas Becket’s gruesome murder at Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. Learn the intriguing history behind this captivating masterpiece of medieval architecture. Marvel at the cathedral’s spectacular stained glass windows, many of which have survived from the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The Battle of Britain Memorial: The Battle of Britain Memorial is dedicated to the heroic and selfless deeds of the men who won the Battle of Britain, from 10 July to 31 October 1940. The central figure sits on a propeller boss surrounded by the badges of all the Allied squadrons and other units that took part in the Battle. The blades of the propeller are set into the ground, making the memorial as striking from the air as it is for the visitor on the ground. The London Leeds Castle tour was well worth the time and money. We were staying near the bus stop and it was easy to find the guide and driver. I believe the guide (young woman) was Appalonia and I can't remember the driver. But both were very well versed in information (guide) and competence on the road. We liked Leeds Castle and loved Canterbury Cathedral (which we had seen before). I was dazzled with its contemporary involvement in social justice. The trip to Dover complemented our previous trip to Normandy the previous week. We did enjoy touring part of London near the Naval College and the Greenwich Observatory and our trip on the Thames as we returned to our hotels. Appl was very careful that each party got off at their appropriate stop and volunteered to take pictures as we toured during the day. I recommend that the agency use her services often. F & R Dice

Boat ride was disappointing. I was expecting a private one with just the customers who paid for the excursion not a big shuttle boat service where you could t see anything you were passing.
