The journey, in full

Departure from Bristol & Severn Bridge Crossing Leave Bristol and cross the iconic Severn Bridge into Wales. Enjoy your first views of this land known for its castles, mountains, and rich cultural heritage. Caerphilly Castle Visit Caerphilly Castle, the largest fortress in Wales, surrounded by impressive water defenses. Explore its grand halls, walk along the ramparts, and discover stories of medieval life and local legends. St Fagans National Museum of History Continue to St Fagans National Museum of History, an open-air museum showcasing Welsh culture through reconstructed historic buildings. Wander through traditional cottages, workshops, and the elegant St Fagans Castle and gardens. Brecon Beacons National Park Journey into Brecon Beacons National Park (Bannau Brycheiniog), a landscape of mountains, moorlands, and legends. Take in the dramatic scenery shaped by nature and folklore. Brecon Town Stop in Brecon, a charming market town known for its Georgian architecture. Enjoy free time to stroll, relax in a café, or take in the surrounding views. Wye Valley & Tintern Abbey Travel through the scenic Wye Valley to the village of Tintern. Visit Tintern Abbey, where you can admire the romantic ruins that inspired poets like William Wordsworth and artists such as J. M. W. Turner. Return to Bristol Relax on the return journey to Bristol after a day filled with history, landscapes, and Welsh heritage. Arrival is approximately at 6:30 PM. *Please note that Caerphilly Castle will be closed on 19 July. As an alternative, we will be visiting Raglan Castle instead.
