Experience Luxor from the heights of a hot air balloon at sunrise. Hop on a marvelous hot air balloon trip and enjoy the highlights of both the west and east banks in the open museum. Sailing over Luxor in a hot air balloon for about 30-40 minutes lets you see the full scope of the archaeological site. Visit the highlights of the City of the Dead (Thebes Necropolis) on the West bank of Luxor and see the amazing original colors dating back to 1500 B.C. at the Valley of the Kings. Explore the well-preserved Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only Pharaonic woman who reigned in Ancient Egypt, and take memorial photos in front of the Colossi of Memnon. Tour Karnak Temple, one of the finest examples of a site of worship in history. Admire Luxor Temple made from glorious Nubian sandstone. The journey, in full

Following an early morning pick-up (around 4:30 am) from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor, drive by an air-conditioned car towards the River Nile to cross to the West Bank on a motorboat followed by another vehicle transfer to the hot air balloon launch site. First off, you will receive instructions and safety information regarding the flight, and then board the shared balloon basket to begin this unique experience and see the ruins of Luxor from a great height. Take a 30 40 minute Hot Air Balloon flight over the west bank of Luxor and enjoy an aerial view of the country’s landscape and famous landmarks such as; the Ramessum temple, the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut Temple, and the view of the Colossi of Memnon rising from the nearby fields. Be sure to capture the best sunrise moments over the Theban Necropolis mountains. Float back down to earth and receive a flight certificate and a small gift. Then, your guide will pick you up and take a private tour of the West Bank to explore ancient Thebes on foot. Visit the Valley of the Kings, and admire the grandeur of the architecture, primarily used for the burial of pharaohs. Your tour guide will explain everything from the outside as no guiding inside the tombs, then explore the best 3 selected tombs from the open ones. Here you will also have the option to explore the tomb of King Tutankhamun. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by the daughter of Thutmose I. Queen Hatshepsut was the only pharaonic woman to reign in Ancient Egypt, and her rule lasted about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (1490-1469 BC). End your tour in the West Bank with a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, and then continue to the Karnak Temple Complex, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The complex comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, and other buildings, and is thought by some to be the finest site in all of Egypt. Listen carefully to the stories and legends to be told by your tour guide. Marvel at the sheer size of the Great Hypostyle Hall, and take photos between the huge columns and obelisks. End your tour at Luxor Temple, made from stunning Nubian Sandstone. Luxor Temple, which is among the most beautiful temples in Egypt, was built by King Amonhotep III in the 18th. dynasty and completed by the great king Ramses II during the 19th dynasty, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited. Learn about the temple’s significance and stroll among the statues, sphinxes, and granite obelisks, before your hotel drop-off and end of the tour.

Additional Information: The Balloon Ride trip departs every day, however, confirmation in advance is highly recommended. Departure time may vary depending on sunrise time. The hotel picks up takes place 45 minutes before the take-off scheduled time. The children under 6 years are not allowed to fly, they can be waiting for you in the ground support van and crew following your balloon. Camera is not allowed in the balloon trip, you can use your cellphone to take pictures. If the Hot Air Balloon trip has been cancelled due to bad weather you will be refunded with 70$ USD per adult and 50$ per child. It is very important to provide us with your passports copies, hotel name and address in Luxor. It is available to provide an Italian, Japanese, German or French tour guide with extra 80$ USD per person upon your request. It is available to drop off travelers at Luxor airport with extra 15$ USD per person.
