Sightseeing at Pyramid Of Djoser. Pyramid of Djoser: Proceed to Saqqara, located only 27 km southwest away from Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid (Built for King Zoser), the world’s oldest major stone structure, in Saqqara, it is considered an important part of the pyramid evolution, which was made from the simple mastaba to its widely known form. This pyramid was built during the reign of the Third Dynasty of Ancient Egypt 4,800 years ago. Also, visit the Tombs of the Nobles in Saqqara and learn more about the daily life of ancient Egyptian noblemen.

It exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts that date as far back as 5000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the TutankhAmon – A collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in the 1920 s when his tomb was excavated.

Day 3

Local Flavor at The Saladin Citadel Of Cairo. Saladin Citadel: Pick up at 8 am, then drive towards the Citadel of Salah El Din, built on famous hill Al Moqattam in Cairo, that was constructed for military purposes, for protecting Cairo from incoming threats. Since then, it became a residence of the king of Egypt for many centuries. On this tour, you will visit the beautiful Mohamed Ali known as Alabaster Mosque. Political event called “Massacre of the Citadel” happened in the Citadel in 1811, where Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) murdered Mameluke leaders in Qaser El Gawhara palace, and it’s not currently opened for visits.

Sightseeing at The Hanging Church. Old Cairo: Have lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included) before exploring some of the most famous churches in Cairo. Travel to the Hanging Church and the Church of St. George the Martyr. Both these churches were built into the walls of the Babylon Fortress and their remains could be Cairo’s oldest structures. Visit the Church of St Sergius next before driving back to your hotel. Finally, transfer to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
