Day 1

Archaeological Exploration at Giza pyramid complex. Welcome to this trip! We will start our 2-day package by picking you up at Cairo airport (please, provide your flt details; flight number, airline, and arrival time). Our English-speaking driver will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall at Cairo airport, holding a sign with your name to transfer you to your hotel in Cairo or Giza. This morning, your private guide will pick you up at your hotel in Cairo or Giza to start your day by visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world-famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos, and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years.

Sightseeing at Great Sphinx Of Giza. Sphinx: Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind, enjoy the views, and take remarkable pictures. You’ll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general. At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

Sightseeing at The Saladin Citadel Of Cairo. Citadel of Salah El Din or Christian Coptic Cairo: Have lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included), then continue towards the Citadel of Salah El Din, built on famous hill Al Moqattam in Cairo, that was constructed for military purposes, for protecting Cairo from incoming threats. Since then, it became the residence of the king of Egypt for many centuries. On this tour, you will visit the beautiful Mohamed Ali known as Alabaster Mosque. The political event called “Massacre of the Citadel” happened in the Citadel in 1811, where Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) murdered Mameluke leaders in Qaser El Gawhara palace, and it’s not currently open for visits. Or have a chance to visit Old Cairo which is known as Christian Coptic Cairo. It is among the most important locations visited by the Holy Family where the spiritual impact of their presence is still felt. The Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius) was built as a prime landmark for many tourists. This, and the whole area of the Fort of Babylon, is a destination of pilgrimage not only for Egyptians but for Christians from around the world. An air of piety and devotion permeates the whole district here. You will also get to learn about the old Jewish synagogue – Ben Ezra Synagogue. (you need to choose either The Citadel or Coptic Cairo).

Cairo
Local Flavor at Alexandria National Museum. Alexandria City: Start with early morning pick-up at 6:30 am for a full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo. Tour Alexandria’s most significant and fascinating spots with your private tour guide. See the Greek and Roman masterpieces ruins at the National Museum, descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with the beautiful artworks, visit the Roman Theater, take in views from the 15-century fortifications at the Citadel of Qaitbay. Explore the New Alexandria library at your own pace. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant between visits (drinks not included).
