Here is your lifetime experience in the ‘Land of the Pharaohs’. Travel to Egypt and experience the history and culture on this private guided 6-day tour that explores the top attractions of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel. Explore historic Cairo, and visit the iconic pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, Mohamed Ali Mosque, and Old Cairo. Visit the marvels, mythology, and mystery of Ancient Egypt, including the tombs of iconic pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Stand at the feet of Abu Simbel’s monumental temples and marvel at the sheer scale of these stunning structures. Door-to-door transportation by A/C car and lunch are included but hotel accommodation, water, beverages, or entrance fees at your own expense.

Day 1

Welcome to this trip! Welcome to the timeless land of the pharaohs! You’ll be met on arrival at Cairo airport by our driver, who will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name and transferred to to your hotel in Cairo or Giza (book it yourself), then the rest of the day is free at your leisure. If your flight lands early, then you could take a first look at the pyramids with an amazing sound and light show(optional), or perhaps head into downtown Cairo for a Nile dinner cruise and show(optional).

Day 2

Archaeological Exploration at Saqqara. Saqqara: This morning, your private guide and driver will pick up you for a full day tour of the pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. Start in chronological order, as it were, by visiting the step pyramid of Saqqara; the first capital of ancient Egypt, this is the oldest pyramid in Egypt 4800 built by King Zoser, before exploring the famous pyramids at Giza.

Archaeological Exploration at Giza pyramid complex. Giza Plateau: Stop for a lunch break then, continue visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world-famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos, and Sphinx; these structures have stood tall for 4500 years.

Sightseeing at Great Sphinx Of Giza. Sphinx: Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind. Enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures. Day 3

Transfer: In the morning check out from your Cairo hotel after breakfast and transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Luxor (book yourself). Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your guide.

Archaeological Exploration at Valley Of The Kings. Valley of the Kings: Your first destination of the day will be the Valley of the Kings, a famous necropolis that has the tombs of the kings of ancient Egypt.

Local Flavor at Mortuary Temple Of Hatshepsut. temple of Hatshepsut: Travel next to the amazing temple of Hatshepsut, who was the first woman to rule over Egypt. This temple was used as a monastery in the Christian era. This is why it is also famous as El Deir Al Bahri, or Northern Monastery’.

Sightseeing at Colossi Of Memnon. Memnon: Your last stop of the day will be the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. These two, 18 m-high statues are the only remaining items of the temple of Amenhotep III.

Sightseeing. Karnak complex: After lunch, we’ll visit the massive temple of Karnak complex, part of the ancient city of Thebes. Dedicated to the powerful God Amun, it offers a vast mix of temples, chapels, statues, and obelisks. It was linked to the town of Luxor by a long Sphinx-lined avenue. The much-photographed Hypostyle Hall has an impressive 134 towering columns, each is carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions cover the walls.

Local Flavor at Luxor Temple. Luxor Temple: Proceed, to the smaller Luxor Temple, which is in the center of town. Admire its beautiful Obelisks and Statues of King Ramesses the Great.

Transfer: You will be transferred to the Luxor train station to take your 6:45 pm First Class Sitting train to Aswan. Arrive at Aswan after about 3 hours, to be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Aswan for overnight.(book it yourself in Aswan east bank, city side).

Day 4

Cairo

Transfer: Around 4 to 4:30 am, you will be picked up by an air-conditioned vehicle (sharing a group in a bus or minibus) for your visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Abu Simbel. This amazing site was completely dismantled and rebuilt when Lake Nasser was flooded. Drive for about 3 hours.

Local Flavor at Abu Simbel Temples. Abu Simbel: Met your Egyptology guide; who will escort you to the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, telling you the stories and the history of the iconic sights of ancient Egypt. Return to Aswan for lunch, then continue sightseeing in Aswan.

Day 5

Local Flavor at National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. National Museum of Egyptian Civilization: Take your breakfast, then, start your day tour at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization which is considered the first museum all over the world exhibit a comprehensive view for the Egyptian Civilization through the history from prehistory till the modern history. NMEC exhibit several objects to show starting with the predynastic and Ancient Egyptian period, the Greco-Roman, Coptic, Islamic and modern history. The main Exhibition Hall show the four main crafts that shaped the Egyptian civilization: pottery, wood, Textile and ornaments. You can see over there the oldest prosthetic toe all over the world, the skeleton of a man dates back to 30000 years ago, the Kaaba Cover (kiswaa Al Kaaba) which was the last one made in Egypt during the time of president Naser and the Mammal which it used to carry the cover from Egypt to Saudi Arabia every year in a great parade.

Local Flavor at The Hanging Church. Famous churches of Cairo: Have lunch at a local restaurant before exploring some of the most famous churches in Cairo. Travel to the Hanging Church and the Church of St. George the Martyr. Both these churches were built into the walls of the Babylon Fortress and their remains could be Cairo’s oldest structures. Visit the Church of St Sergius next before driving back to your hotel.

Leisure. Leisure day: Today is free to join any other optional sightseeing tours of Cairo or a spot of last minute shopping until we take you back to the airport for your departure flight. If you have an evening flight, then have a chance to add an extra optional day tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum GEM and Cairo Citadel, or a day tour to Dahshur and Memphis. Alternatively if you can add extra nights to your time in Cairo you can take a day trip to the colonial city of Alexandria which lies on the Mediterranean coast or an overnight trip to the White and Black desert.
