What your day looks like

Travel to Egypt and experience the history and culture in 14 days beginning and ending in Cairo. Enjoy a tour that explores Cairo, cruises along the Nile and visits to Luxor, Alexandria and the coastal town of Hurghada. Be humbled by the grandeur of the pyramids, step back in time at magnificent pharaonic tombs, then jump on board your 5-star Nile Cruise to sail in style! take a 4-day cruise down the legendary Nile River and learn about the mystery and beauty of these ancient lands in person. Discover Abu Simbel; this magnificent monument carved out of the mountainside, dedicated to Pharaoh Ramses II and his queen, Nefertari. Relax on the beautiful sandy beach and enjoy the crystal water of the Red Sea in Hurghada and 4-star half board resort. Tour includes 4-nights at a 4-star hotel in Cairo or Giza, 3-nights Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor with Abu Simbel trip (sharing a group), 1 night at 4 star hotel in Luxor, 3 nights hotel in Hurghada, Sleeping train from Cairo to Aswan, one way flight ticket from Hurghada to Cairo and airport transfers. Note: -The Nile Cruise from Aswan every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. -The cruise options for Sundays and Thursdays start sailing to Kom Ombo in the early morning of day 3 around 5 am. We will do all the excursions mentioned in the itinerary but in different order according to the cruise schedule.

Your day, step by step

Day 1

Cairo

Transportation at Tahrir Square - Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be met by Egypt Gift Tours driver, who will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name to be transferred to your hotel in Cairo or Giza. Our driver will help you settle in, then the rest of the day is free at your leisure. If your flight lands early, then you could take a first look at the pyramids with an amazing sound and light show, or perhaps head into downtown Cairo for a Nile dinner cruise and show (optional). Day 2

Giza

Archaeological Exploration at Saqqara. Saqqara: This morning, your tour guide will pick up you for a full day tour of the pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. Start in chronological order, as it were, by visiting the step pyramid of Saqqara; the first capital of ancient Egypt, this is the oldest pyramid in Egypt 4800 B.C, built by King Djoser, before exploring the famous pyramids at Giza. Meals included: Breakfast at the hotel.

Sightseeing at Giza pyramid complex. Giza Pyramids and Sphinx: Stop for lunch break (optional) then, continue visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos and Sphinx; these structures that have stood tall for 4500 years. Discover the beauty of the Sphinx, one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind, enjoy the views and take remarkable pictures. You'll find your local Egyptology guide a wealth of knowledge and full of enthusiasm about Egyptian history, and their country in general. Back to your Hotel in Cairo or Giza for overnight.

Day 3

Alexandria

Local Flavor at Library of Alexandria. Alexandria Day Tour: Start with early morning pick-up around 7 am for a full day tour to Alexandria from Cairo. Tour Alexandria's most significant and fascinating spots with your private tour guide. Descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, with the beautiful artworks, visit the Roman Theater,  take in views from the 15-century fortifications at the Citadel of Qaitbay. Explore the New Alexandria library at your own pace. Drive Back in comfort to your hotel in Cairo for overnight. Lunch is optional in this tour. Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket. Meals included: Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 4

Cairo

Archaeological Exploration at Egyptian Museum. Egyptian Museum of Antiquities: This morning have your breakfast and check out, meet your guide to start your day tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities; home to the fantastic Tutankhamun exhibit and many of the New Kingdom artifacts. Lose yourself in the many rooms and galleries full of thousands of artifacts. Meals included: Breakfast at the hotel and dinner on the train.

Local Flavor at Coptic Cairo. Have lunch at a local restaurant (optional) before exploring some of the most famous churches in Cairo. Travel to the Hanging Church and the Church of St. George the Martyr. Both these churches were built into the walls of the Babylon Fortress and their remains could be Cairo’s oldest structures. Visit the Church of St Sergius next before driving back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza. In the evening you will be picked up and transferred to Cairo train station to take your night sleeper train to Aswan (about 12-14 hours).

Day 5

Aswan

Arrive Aswan and transfer to the cruise: Once you arrive at Aswan train station, our representative will meet and assist you at Aswan Railway station to be transferred by an A/C car to your 5 stars Nile Cruise to check in before lunch. Have lunch on board. Note: If your arrival to Aswan is so early, so we might start the tour direct upon arrival since the cruise check-in time at 12:00 and we don’t want our guest to waste their time waiting at the lobby for check-in. Meals included: breakfast on the train, lunch, and dinner on the cruise.

Sightseeing at Aswan Dam. Aswan High Dam:' Then, start your tour by visiting the High Dam; achieved in 1960 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric.

Archaeological Exploration at Philae temple complex. Philae Temple: Proceed to visit the Greco Roman Temple dedicated to goddess Isis using a small motorboat to get there. Later on, return back to your cruise for dinner, folkloric show, and Overnight in Aswan.

Day 6

Aswan

Archaeological Exploration at Abu Simbel Temples. Abu Simbel trip sharing a group: Around 4 to 4:30 am, you will be picked up for Abu Simbel Temples Trip (Sharing a group in a bus or minibus). This amazing site was completely dismantled and rebuilt when Lake Nasser was flooded. Drive for about 3 to 4 hours, to be met by your Egyptology guide; who will escort you to the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, telling you the stories and the history of the iconic sights of ancient Egypt. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Kom Ombo

Local Flavor at Temple Of Kom Ombo. Back to the cruise around 2 to 2:30 pm to have lunch and be ready for the cruise navigation heading to Kom Ombo city where to visit the amazing Temple Of Kom Ombo dedicated to two gods: Horus (the falcon god) and Sobek (the crocodile god). Also, you will get to visit the Crocodile Museum. Get back to the cruise and have dinner. Continue sailing to Edfu for overnight. Note: The cruise options for Sundays and Thursdays start sailing to Kom Ombo in the early morning of day 3 around 5 am. We will do all the excursions mentioned in the itinerary but in different order according to the cruise schedule.

Day 7

Edfu

Archaeological Exploration at Temple Of Edfu. Temple of Horus at Edfu: Around 5:30 to 6 am, enjoy Horse Carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the temple of Horus at Edfu which is considered to be the most complete and the best preserved of all the Egyptian temples. Return to the cruise to have your breakfast and start sailing. Relax on the deck watching the unique landscape and admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile river while sailing to Luxor. Cross Esna Lock, lunch on board and afternoon tea on the sundeck. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Archaeological Exploration at Luxor Temple. Late in the afternoon, arrive Luxor; built on and around the ancient site of Thebes, and has the greatest concentration of ancient ruins in the Nile Valley, if not the world. Across the Nile lies the City of the Dead, with its mortuary temples and rock carved tombs. To the east stand the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. Meet your guide to visit Luxor Temple which is in the center of town and is colorfully lit up by night and where ancient Egyptian, Christian and Islamic features are exhibited. Dinner on board and belly dancing show. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 8

Cairo

Archaeological Exploration at Valley Of The Kings. Have breakfast and check out at 8 am to start your remarkable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs from the new kingdom carved their tombs in the mountains aiming to hide their treasure and protect their mummies. Meals included: breakfast.

Archaeological Exploration at Mortuary Temple Of Hatshepsut. Then to the Mortuary temple of the famous queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. End your tour in the West Bank by a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. Lunchtime in a local restaurant (optional).

Luxor

Archaeological Exploration at Karnak Temple. Continue to visit the massive temple of Karnak. It was linked to the town of Luxor by a long sphinx lined avenue. Inside the large courtyard are three temples. The much photographed Hypo-style Hall has an impressive 134 towering columns, each is carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs, and hieroglyphic inscriptions cover the walls At the end of the day, you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor to check and overnight.

Day 9

Luxor

Enjoy a free day in Luxor or select add one of the below optional tours to explore more attractions. (Optional Tour to Abydos and Dendara Temples) (Optional Tour to West Bank 2; Village of the workers, Habu Temple and Nobles Tombs) (Optional Tour Luxor Museum and Sunset Felucca and Banana Island with lunch). Day 10

Hurghada

Take your breakfast, then start your journey to Hurghada around 7 am by a private A/C vehicle, for approx. 4 hours driving. Arrive by noon, at the Hurghada 4-star resort to check in for 3 nights, relax on the beach, and enjoy swimming in the crystal water. Accommodation for 3 nights with HB (half board service, dinner and breakfast). Feast on an open buffet breakfast and dinner. Meals Included: breakfast in the Luxor hotel and dinner in Hurghada.

Snorkeling at Giftun Islands. Enjoy a free day in Hurghada, or have peace of mind with a full-day snorkeling trip to Nemo Island (formerly Giftun Island) (optional) to explore the world's most beautiful coral reef, swim, fish, and have a lot of fun, with door-to-door transport and a buffet lunch included.
