The journey, in full
Your tour starts early in the morning as you are picked up from your hotel or accommodation in Quito. You will drive north to the Middle of the World, where we will make a short stop to visit the Equatorial Monument. You will continue the drive, crossing through small towns like Calacali and Nanegalito. Then, you will reach the Mindo Protected Reserve area (1,300 meters above sea level), one of the highest biodiversity places in the world. This area is also known as the birdwatcher’s paradise. Here you can enjoy many unique activities, including canopy tours, rappelling, tubing, a chocolate factory visit, waterfall hiking, an orchid garden, and ecotourism, thanks to its wealth of cloud forest flora and fauna. After a fun-filled day, you will return to Quito.
