Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
From the cruise port, we head West to arrive at the Damajagua Waterfalls, one of the highest rated attractions on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Nature has crafted here some awe-inspiring pools, etched out of limestone, with stalactites and stalagmites in a thousand colors. To get to the Damajagua Cascades we have to hike about 20-30 minutes uphill, and then we make our way back down by swimming, jumping, and sliding through the refreshing, crystal-clear water. From here your adventure continues as you make your way to the zip lines. After the mandatory safety briefing from the trained, professional staff, it's time to feel the adrenaline on three different zip lines, certified and inspected upon ACCT standards. No experience is required. Contrary to many other zip line parks you are not involved in any active breaking, like using gloves for stopping.

What to Bring
Bring swimwear, towel, comfortable sport shoes, t-shirt, shorts/pants, change of clothes, sun protector & insect repellent and a waterproof camera We recommend wearing shorts to protect your upper thighs on the natural water slides We recommend bringing your own Water shoes or old runners which can get wet
Restrictions
Please be aware: Minimum age to participate: 8 years old. Maximum weight for zip lines and waterfalls: 260 lbs or 118kg (44 inches | 130 cm waist, 31 inches | 80 cm legs). Moderate amount of walking is involved. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no reimbursement for non-participation in booked activities or non-fulfillment of the conditions of participation. Not recommended for pregnant women and participants with heart complaints, back problems, walking disabilities, etc.

Meeting location for Amber Cove: Our meeting point is outside the cruise port’s main exit gate, which is a 8–12-minute walk from the dock. Please disembark promptly, bus departure is 45 minutes after ship arrival. The waterfalls were amazing and refreshing. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do the zip lines because of how crowded the falls were and there wouldn’t have been enough time. I was really looking forward to zip lining. So I feel time could have been better managed. Either do the zip line first or make a decision to turn back at the falls so all parts of the advertised excursion could be experienced.

We had such a blast for my friends 70th birthday! Wally was our personal photographer and he was amazing! Hiking to the falls was gorgeous - be prepared for a lot of up hill - and sliding and jumping into the water was just thrilling. The ziplining was so much fun and the lunch afterwards was delicious and filling. I highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to have a great time!

The waterfalls were great, but it was more like 40 minutes uphill, over uneven terrain. I'd make that clearer in the description. Other than that, the experience at the waterfalls was fantastic. Our guide was a nice guy, but we got very little information. It was more conversational, including his curiosity on how American's have so much money, etc. We engaged in this conversation, asking about his life as well. But that's almost all it was. Very little about the island, it's history, what we are seeing, etc. He was pleasant, but not informative.

The day was amazing and both places were breath taking and memories were made at these magnificent locations. Unfortunately the only downfall was the timing. We double checked before departing for the day that we would in fact be back before our 4:30 departure time by ship. Guide told us we were to be back at 4. We were still loading bus from up lining at 4:23 and had to run to make it back by 4:40… it was very upsetting. The photographer with us was also amazing and a great guide throughout the day. Wish we could’ve tipped more but we were very concerned with sprinting back to ship.
