What travelers are saying
We were drawn to this tour by the description of seeing stunning views and relaxing on a private catamaran cruise. The driver picked us up in a nice vehicle and was courteous and safe. But the first clue that something was off was that he asked if we were going on the "party boat". We said no- a relaxing catamaran. But the names matched so we continued. He stopped at a random strip mall store and we were met by a woman who claimed she was the owner of Blue Marine. She upsold us on some pineapple drinks and grilled meat which she said we would find on board. She said she'd take venmo, paypal or zelle but suddenly she had no signal so we used her ATM to withdraw cash - of course we were over charged. The driver then took us to the beach area. He parked the vehicle along side the road and took us down a windy pathway to the beach where we had to stand in line at a hut to sign in for our cruise. We were given wristbands to wear with no clear indication why. Our driver disappeared, but another man from Infinity Ocean Catamarans met us and ferried us out to a party boat catamaran that had music full blast. It was a private boat, just for the three of us. The crew consisted of the captain, a cruise director, bartender and a photographer. They captain drove us past some poor dolphins held captive in far too shallow of water. We told him we just wanted to cruise around and relax and find a spot to jump in the water and swim. He took us to party central. It was an area where about 20 other party boats were anchored. Each one tried to out blast the other with their music. There were several floating bars and grills. We expected that this is where we'd get our meat & drinks. We hung out here for well over an hour- we kept asking the cruise director where our drinks were and he apologetically said "soon" over and over again. After about 90 minutes we were done. The loud music and crush of people was just too overwhelming. We asked the captain to please take us to a quieter area. As he began leaving, a small boat came up to us to deliver our grilled meat and drinks. We went a bit further out, and the captain set anchor and we chilled for a bit finally in some peace & quiet. After speaking with the cruise director, it became clear that Blue Marine subcontracted us out to Infinity Ocean catamarans. The cruise director and bartender were very friendly. The photographer was over the top. We did end up paying for pictures even though we know were were getting taken. Sometimes I'm willing to go along with a scam for a good story. I would never book any of my clients on this cruise.
