There’s no unlimited alcohol-there’s no alcohol at all on the boat. There’s 1-2 bottles that they use for about 40 people at the lunch. The hike after the horseback riding is about 300 steps down to the waterfall. The translator was very difficult to understand, but he did ride with us so we felt safe. It’s a long day, but totally worthwhile! The horse handlers are SUPERB!! The store by the waterfall has Apple Pay. Take cash for tips!

Great full day excursion, but know it is a full day and be prepared. We were picked up 6:45am and dropped off approx 7:45pm. It's a 2 hour bus ride to the catamaran (bus stops midway for restrooms/snacks), 45 minute catamaran ride on the water, then 30 minute safari bus ride to get to the horses. You'll ride horse with your own guide down majority of the trail and walk the rest. Still not sure what shoes to recommend, but you will go from an air conditioned bus ride, to a boat, to a horse, to a muddy trail that you will also need to walk some both down and back up, to a waterfall (many swim here, we did and it was amazing), back to your horse etc. Waterfall was absolutely worth it. The walk back up to the horses from the waterfall is uphill. Expect to be asked for tips by the locals with the horses. We didn't know this going in. They apparently aren't a part of the excursion and only make their money by guiding people on the trail. Lunch was actually really good. Boarded safari buses back to catamaran then to the island. Maybe 15 minute boat ride. You're only there an hour or so but it was beautiful. Back to catamaran for 30-45 minute ride back to bus and 2 hour ride back (again stop midway).

Overall a great day , but VERY long. Says 10 hours but more like 12 . Pick up was at 6:15 ( had to pick up others from various resorts also ) and drop Off. Was beautiful to see countryside and waterfall. Also description did not recommend bringing tip money for all of the Dominicans who worked this trip : main tour guide was great , bus driver , boat captain , Jeep driver , each horse has its own “ attendant “ who walks with you to make sure you and the horse are safe., lunch buffet people. So if you go , don’t have dinner reservations that you need to get back for , and bring a lot of tip $ ( family of 4 and we ended up tipping an unexpected $60 - would have tipped more if we had more cash . The horse attendants worked very hard. )
