What your day looks like
From our ranch in Macao, we go tearing through the remote farmland of northern Punta Cana, passing palm trees and tobacco plantations with the Oriental Mountain Range deep in the background. These narrow, secluded country roads offer a safe haven but are ready to get dirty. Our first stop if at a quaint country ranch for an introduction on local produce like cocoa, coffee, tobacco, and Mamajuana (a Dominican elixir) and green tea leaves. Back into the rocky off-road, among panoramic views of endless farmland and distant mountains, our excursion leads us to a picturesque cave replete with a deep natural swimming hole. Prepare to begin a new experience, get on a buggy with us for an adventure in the Dominican Republic. We really enjoyed the buggy ride. I gave it 4 stars because we didn't have an English speaking driver and didn't know what was going on for a long time. I also didn't like the sales pitch at our first stop. I think making it more personal and helping people understand the process would be better. Also, we didn't visit a Tobacco plantation to my knowledge and the cave was underwhelming. I felt a bit unsafe driving through town in the dark at the end as well.
