Las Cañitas At the "Muelle Turistico Las Canitas" you will embark to go to Samana Bay to watch the humpback whales. 1 hour transit time considered from Punta Cana Samana Bay Whale Watching! Samaná Bay is one of the richest protected areas in the Caribbean. It has the largest number of virgin beaches. 30 minutes of boat time are considered within the duration. 3 hours. Cayo Levantado Also known as Bacardi Island because of a Bacardi commercial filmed here in the 1970s, the small, picturesque island of Cayo Levantado sits five kilometers (three miles) from Samaná Bay, and boasts brilliant white sand and palm-fringed beaches where you can swim. You will have a delicious lunch with a drink on the Bacardi Island. 1 hour and 30 minute return time is considered on the duration. 4 hours.
