City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour Copenhagen
What your day looks like
Discover for yourself what a delight Copenhagen is from the top deck of one of our hop-on hop-off buses! With three separate routes to choose from in this flexible combination ticket, there’s no excuse not to. Our Classic Copenhagen route takes you straight to the major tourist spots, our Colourful route shows you a more alternative side to the city, and our Urban Green route transports you to the city’s leafy, verdant zones, packed with family-friendly activities. You absolutely cannot visit Copenhagen without a trip to the Nyhavn canal. Hop on our Classic Copenhagen route and hop off to explore the charming waterfront. You’ll find jazz bars, food stalls and rows of rainbow-coloured terraces. This colorful area has a colourful history. Constructed by Swedish prisoners of war in the 17th Century, the port was infamous for drunkenness, debauchery, and prostitution. Hans Christian Andersen grew up here. Snap a selfie in front of the quaint lemon-yellow house where Denmark’s national hero penned his first-ever fairy tale. Hop back on and head to the famous Little Mermaid statue, a tribute to the tragic (at least in the original story) heroine of Andersen’s most famous tale. Nearby, stroll down the lovely park-lined Langelinie pier and admire the colossal luxury cruise ships. It’s not difficult to see why so many visitors flock to the grand Rosenborg Castle with its exquisite gardens, and you’ll get panoramic vistas from our top deck. Built by King Christian IV as a summer palace, it’s filled to the brim with royal relics; glittering crowns, controversial portraits and the pièce de résistance, a dazzling jewel-encrusted sword. Next up are the magical Tivoli Gardens, dating all the way back to 1843. Dare you take a ride on one of the world’s oldest wooden rollercoasters? The faint-hearted among you can stick to Tivoli’s picture-perfect parks and gardens. Switch to our Colourful Copenhagen route and experience an explosion of colour in Christianshavn. Gaze at the rows of multi-coloured terraced houses reflected in the canal. Our open-top bus will take you right to Christiania Freetown, Copenhagen’s alternative and anarchic “hippie” zone, where private cars are banned. Feeling peckish? Continue to Reffen, where you’ll find a sprawling organic street food market with a multitude of mouth-watering morsels to choose from. To see another side of the city, hop on our Green Urban route to enjoy Copenhagen’s many family-friendly attractions. Observe animals from all over the world at Copenhagen Zoo, from a close-up encounter with polar bears at the Arctic Ring to a lesson in the habits of the magnificent elephants at the Elephant house. Have your interest in all things cosmic piqued at the fascinating Planetarium

What travelers are saying
It worked perfect for getting around town.
It was very handy that the Bus made a stop right at the cruise port !! We were disappointed, however, with the location of the bus stop at Tivoli Gardens. We chose to ride the bus along the entire route first, so that we would have an overview of the city. On that go around, the bus stopped very close to the Tivoli entrance. However, when we came around the second time, intending to hop off there, the bus continued to a different stop (without any explanation) and parked somewhere else. The driver was a little annoyed that we asked him how to get back to Tivoli. We are two Senior ladies, one of us walking with a cane, so this was very inconvenient. I have taken Hop On Hop Off busses in many European cities over the years, and this was the first time a driver did not stick to the scheduled stopping point.
I would not buy the HO HO ahead of time, thru PE for Copenhagen. The guy at the bus gave me a hard time and said third party vendors don’t always pay… and he was pretty grumbly. I had my ticket, but he said I needed a QR code, which was on the ticket. I thought for a minute I needed to repurchase my ticket. IT was or would be easy enough to just buy the HO HO ticket in person the day or days you need it.
Beautiful city. Thank you
I have done many these in cities all over the world and feel it was worth it here. The stops were right in the heart of it all. I would do it again
